A special gift!

Marty has been in the Christmas spirit all week long and brings to you a special gift, a visual gift if you will. The first in a series Marty likes to call, "Pets Under Blankets." First up: Matty.

It's almost Christmaaaaaaas!!!!!!!!

Marty got real busy last week, hence no Marty Monday, but his calendar is clear for today! With Christmas on it's way, Marty is getting all festive for the Holidays. First he went to the Woods Human Society and had his picture taken with Santa, then he decorated the Christmas tree and wrapped presents. Finally Marty took out the Christmas lights so he could check to make sure all the lights were working.

OMG! Sooooo much turkey

Marty ate so much turkey on Thanksgiving that he was in a food coma on the couch all weekend long. Since Bettina doesn't eat turkey, he ate hers. Then he gnawed on the bones from everyone else's plate, THEN he ate the leftovers that he found on the kitchen counter. Marty is looking very forward to the Christmas ham.

Work Work Work

Marty took a look at his website and decided it needed to be better and less ugly, so Marty spent all weekend working until the wee hours of the morning to make his website more attractive and easier to look at. Go take a look! www.martytravels.com

Star Gazing!

Marty stayed up real late night to watch the Leonid Meteor Shower. He saw three. And two satellites and four planes. But it was nice to sit outside in the cold with Sophie and watch the stars, and where Marty lives now he doesn't have to go too far to see clear skies, just outside to the front yard. But it was too dark and all the little noises from the bushes made Marty's imagination run wild and he got scared and went back inside. Plus after an hour he got real cold.

Wine Tasting!

Apparently Marty is a wine connoisseur and this weekend was harvest weekend at all the wineries in town. Marty can't pass up free wine, first up Talley Vineyards.

After three glasses of wine, Marty had a nice buzz going on and wanted to check out the vineyard, so he moseyed on over to check it out.

Marty's buzz allowed Marty to let go of his inhibitions and he climbed up into the vine and pretended he was a grape to try to get more buzzed
Finally he gave up and went inside for more tasting.

Marty is kind of a lightweight, four drinks is more than enough for him to handle and he passed out on a chair by the warm window waiting to be carried home. He couldn't make it to any more wineries.

Marty wanted to have a fabulous Halloween and Dia de los Muertos weekend, but he was sick in bed instead. Oh well, he didn't have a costume anyway.

The first storm of the season was a biggie and it cut the power to the house for many hours leaving Marty in the dark with not much to do but sit around and twiddle his thumbs.

A Day at the races!

Marty is back from being on hiatus! During that time he moved north to Atascadero and has been exploring the San Luis Obispo county looking for interesting spots. First up, DOGTOBERFEST and wiener dog racing!!!!!! and sheep herding!

Sooooooooo Hot

It has been so hot lately, and every one at casa dos lesbos has been trying to keep cool, from cooling off in the cool zone (aka ari and raquel's room) to hosing eachother off with the garden hose, though some had to be forced to be cooled, but even Myra ventured out of the cave to get some fresh air. Though the cave is the coolest spot in the house.





Then later in the afternoon early in the evening, after the mid to late afternoon nap, ari wanted a haircut. Marty was much obliged to give her one, now she is stylin'!
